Specifications of the Redmi Turbo 5 have appeared online. The phone is said to arrive next year as the successor to the Turbo 4. It is said to carry various improvements over its predecessor. A recent report claimed the phone would have a 6.6-inch display. Now, in a new leak, it appears the Redmi Turbo 5 will have a smaller 6.5-inch LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution. It can also have a metal frame.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) has leaked specifications of a mid-range phone from a sub-brand. According to a report by Gizmochina, these details pertain to the Redmi Turbo 5. If accurate, the handset will feature a 6.5-inch LTPS flat display with a 1.5K resolution. It is also said to have a larger 7,500mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging support, which is a significant upgrade from the Turbo 4's 6,550mAh battery.

Furthermore, the Redmi Turbo 5 is said to feature a metal frame and an in-display optical fingerprint scanner for security. The phone may also receive an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

A recent report suggested that the Redmi Turbo 5 could launch in early 2026. Contrary to previous leaks, the phone was initially said to feature a 6.6-inch display and a metal frame. Globally, this handset could launch as the Poco X8 Pro. It is also expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset.

The older Redmi Turbo 5 model was released in China on January 2nd of this year. The device has a 6.67-inch screen, 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1,920Hz PWM dimming, and 3,200 nits peak brightness. It features a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset and a Mali-G720 MC6 GPU.

The Redmi Turbo 4 featured up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. For photography, it featured a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, there was a 20MP selfie camera.
